It's totally true about the sleep sweet spot.
Man, if I catch him right at the moment of staring off into space and put him down then,
he lays down in his little bed with nary a complaint and looks in his little toy mirror and
coos himself to sleep. He gets cuter EVERY DAY.
(Why did I have to manually line-break that so that it didn't become one long sentence
rolling off to the right? That's never happened before. With blogger, it's something new and exciting every day, isn't it?)

Glad to hear things are getting better. Sleep frustrations are the worst because they require time and patience at the end of the day when you're least likely to have either. My advice: when he won't go down for you, let your husband have at him and don't feel the least bit guilty. Sometimes a baby just needs a change. He's so in tune with you that he'll sense if you're at all tense. Of course, the not being annoyed part is easier said than done.
Ooo, look! I can comment!!
I think Tammy has a good idea. Not only is your husband a different person, he also doesn't reek of milk, which makes it easier for the babe to settle without looking to feed.
Right now, though, it doesn't sound like that's a problem! Congratulations!
